Here is one of the reasons I love Frankie’s Pizza and Pasta in Redmond: they give you dough to play with, and they will even cook it for you! When you get seated, ask your waiter for balls of pizza dough for the kids to play with- don’t be shy, they have dough ready just for this. They will bring out a fun ball of dough for the kids to squish, squeeze, flatten, and roll. Then, if the kids have it shaped into something, put it on a napkin and ask the waiter to bake it up for you. (Really, don’t be nervous! They are really nice and do this all the time!)
If you go, I recommend the Sun Dried Tomato Ravioli, which is so good (I once had a dream about it). Of course, everything there is good. It is the only Italian restaurant my father-in-law has given a thumbs up since I met him, and he is a stickler of a New Jersey Italian, so that is a major endorsement.
I also suggest you go between 5pm and 6pm, since it starts to get a little busy after that. But no matter when you go, you can count on a family-friendly restaurant with great food!
