Have you ever noticed that in the Pacific Northwest, when the calendar says it is shorts season, folks wear shorts? It doesn’t matter if it is raining- if it is supposed to be summer, the shorts come out. That is what I noticed at the Fall City Days parade. Lots of people wearing shorts. There was even a woman in bare feet. (Not a kid- a grown woman.)
It is a good thing that we don’t let rain stop a party. This year, if we let a little rain get us down, we would never be up. I have forgotten what it is like to have more than one day of sun! But the Fall City Days parade was fun, as usual. We had lunch at the Raging River Cafe and Club, which was packed- think burgers, pizza, and pasta. Good solid food, and music every weekend.
Hopefully, all the parades coming up across the Eastside this summer will have a little more sun- but it won’t stop the fun, even if it rains!
