Friday: Practice your British accent as you sing along with Creme Tangerine, Beatles Tribute band, in Bothell. Saturday: Ride your bike to Derby Days in Redmond for food, fun, and fireworks! Sunday: Wear your cowboy hat to the Wild West Summer Celebration on Mercer Island. ![]() Whale of a Tale I got stuck in the blowhole of a fiberglass whale this morning. It was an orca, actually, so technically it was a dolphin, but let's stay on topic here. We were at the Children's Museum in Seattle and my daughter was climbing through the hollow orca. It had a hole near the tail to climb in and the mouth was open for climbing out, plus, right in the middle of the roof was a hole so kids can pop their heads out. My daughter begged me to join her in the black and white tunnel, so I crawled in with her. It instantly felt a bit claustrophobic, but I perservered. I thought it would be funny to surprise my three year old by quickly popping out of that whale sunroof. So I did. Unforntunately, I was rotated about three inches too far to the left, and the hole couldn't accomodate my adult shoulders. The result? I got wedged in to about my elbows. Read more here. |
